To promote the opening of the new building for the Iovine and Young Academy, I made this short stop motion animation featuring Poketti—plushies designed by an IYA student. The video starts at the Academy’s old headquarters, the Garage, and has the Poketti take a journey to the new Iovine and Young Hall and explore its features.
I directed and shot this video, with one assistant helping on setup for some shots. Each frame required me to move the Poketti into new positions, so shooting one sequence could take over an hour. The video was filmed over the course of many days.
Once finished, the video was featured on the Academy’s social media as well as playing on loop in TVs around the building
